產(chǎn)氣莢膜梭菌雖屬厭氧性細(xì)菌,但對厭氧程度的要求并不太嚴(yán),甚至在EH=200-250mv的環(huán)境內(nèi)也能生長。在普通培養(yǎng)基上能生長,若加葡萄糖,血液,則生長更好。生長適宜溫度為37-47℃,多認(rèn)為43-47℃為最宜本菌生長和繁殖速度極快,在適宜條件下增代時間僅8min,可利用高溫快速培養(yǎng)法,對本菌進(jìn)行選擇分離,如在45℃下,每培養(yǎng)3-4小時傳種1次,即可較易獲得純培養(yǎng),在深層葡萄糖瓊脂中大量產(chǎn)氣,致使瓊脂破碎。

生化特性
所有型菌株均能發(fā)酵葡萄糖、麥芽糖、乳糖和蔗糖,產(chǎn)酸產(chǎn)氣。不發(fā)酵甘露醇或水楊苷;液化明膠,產(chǎn)生H2S,不能消化已凝固的蛋白質(zhì)和血清,吲哚陰性。主要代謝產(chǎn)物為乙酸和丁酸,有時也形成丁醇。
分型
根據(jù)本菌產(chǎn)生外毒素種類之不同,可將產(chǎn)氣夾膜梭菌分成A、B、C、D、E5個毒素型。5型中對人致病的主要是A型和C型,A型最常見,引起氣性壞疽和胃腸炎型食物中毒;C型能引起壞死性腸炎。
